T-Shirt Abroad - Cuba

That man Narbi Price has been at it again. The walking billboard headed over to Cuba at the start of the year and had this picture taken from the spot that Fidel Castro made his speeches from. Photo credit: Nancy Isherwood

Michael Mulvihill

4" x 6" is the approx size of Michael Mulvihill's work and the eraser is one of his main drawing tools. He brought a selection of these along to experiment with on our stones & plates. A jolly and rewarding two days were had and the results were better than we both expected.

You can see Michael's drawing by visiting > Vane

Cornelia Hesse-Honegger

Flying in from Zurich with a snow on the runways at Heathrow can have it's problems (especially w/luggage!) but this didn't prevent Cornelia Hesse-Honegger from making it to Newcastle to collaborate on her piece for the Locus+ portfolio.

Sneak Peek - George Shaw

It was a delight to have George Shaw return to Newcastle and to Hole Editions for the first time in 2012. This isn't George's first visit to our new workshop but is his first collaborative visit. Wasting no time upon his arrival, lithographic pencil touched stone and production began on three new works.

New Releases - Peter J. Evans

This is the third project that we have collaborated with Peter J. Evans on and is undoubtedly the most ambitious project that we have undertaken to date. The project speaks for itself, read about it in the colophon, read some wonderful words by Iris Priest and see Making twenty for yourself > Peter J. Evans

New Releases - Lauren Healey

It was a delight to have awarded Lauren with the Publishing Prize for her MFA exhibition in September 2010. This has been a really interesting project to work on, if somewhat frustrating at times, and in hind-sight, we could have made the plates more manageable to edition. A learning experience all around with a really wonderful and long print to boot. Go check it out > Lauren Healey - Shadowscape.

New Releases - David Leigh

It was back in April when David Leigh flew in from Albuquerque to work on these to wonderfully quirky and colourful lithographs. We were also in a different workshop. David was the last artist collaborate with us at the old location in the confines of the oddly shaped cosy space. We can only imagine what he would have come up with given the elbow room of the new shop.

11 for 2011 - Iris Priest

Back in November Turning Point Network North East came to interview Iris Priest about her work and the lithograph 'In That Beyond' that she made with us. This is for their 11 for 2011 series, a pilot programme of artists films featuring emerging and established contemporary artists in the North East gaining National and International recognition. The artists featured were shortlisted by the Critical Dialogue Working Group from a longlist of suggestions from the Turning Point Network.
