OPEN STUDIOS | 24th-25th Nov

On Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th November we'll be taking part in the annual 36 Lime Street Open Studios which is part of the Ouseburn Open Studios Weekend. Between the hours of 10am and 6pm you'll be able to visit our workshop, see all our lovely lithographs, pull your own impression of an exclusive litho and grab yourself a bargain with special weekend only discounts.

Lee Turner @ The Point

'Printout' opened this evening at The Point in Doncaster. Here are some shots of Lee Turner's lithographs in the exhibition. '4 Minute Litho' is playing during the exhibition and there is a series of progression proofs for 'Ant,' these should help exhibition visitors understand how hand printed lithographs are made.

Also showing are Graham Firth (Linocuts), Rosemary Firth (Collographs) and Jacqui Symons (Monotypes). The exhibition runs until 12th Jan 2013.

Jim Shaw

Today LA based artist Jim Shaw stopped by to sign his completed edition 'Hairdo' prior to the opening of his awesome two floor retrospective 'The Rinse Cycle' at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Narbi Price

BALTIC Editions - Ant Macari

In August we saw the return of Ant Macari. He had been asked by BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art to produce an edition in celebration of their 10th Anniversary. We were delighted that he came along to us to collaborate on his woodcut 'A Quaint Work of Piety (in memory of Joseph Crawhall II)'. Gavin Watson

A recent regular visitor to our workshop has been Gavin Watson (and occasionally accompanied by his dog Muppy). It's a bit of a Monday Club with plenty of hot beverages, chocky biscuits and sharp pencils while he works on his 'Martyr' series.

Barton Hargreaves

Almost a year after they arrived we finally managed to pull a couple of the new stones out of the rack. Juicy washes and energetic marks were drawn on to them by Barton Hargreaves. It was a flying visit but much was accomplished in the short time that we had available.

Ray Richardson - Signing Day

Ray and his wife Carolyn stopped off in the Toon this morning while on their way up north to Scotland on their holidays. Narbi Price

Mr. Price is back in the workshop to complete his five print suite. He was recently long listed for the John Moores Painting Prize. Prize winners will be announced at the Walker Art Gallery in September.


Felix Blackman - 7th Birthday present

For his 7th Birthday earlier this month we gave wee Mr. Blackman an invite to spend the afternoon with us and draw on one of our rocks. Felix has been reading about Greek mythology and has depicted a Hydra among other things.
