Join us for a unique event in the contemporary art calendar, Art in the Home #2, offering a rare opportunity to view work across a range of media in a variety of domestic settings.

Six homeowners in York are generously opening their doors to host work by some of the UK's leading artists, providing a clear insight into how different pieces could fit into your home.

The galleries involved are each adopting innovative curatorial approaches in response to the homes and homeowners - so expect mini-retrospectives and site-sensitive installations. The full list of artists is currently being finalised but, to whet your appetite, galleries and artists will include:

Ingleby Gallery, Edinburgh -  Richard Forster and James Hugoinin
Domo Baa
l, London – Lothar Gotz, Rachel Adams and Lee Edwards
International 3, Manchester – Hondartza Fraga and Alison Erika Forde
Vitrine
, London – Clare Kenny and Wil Murray
Man and Eve, London - Iain Andrews, Alex Virji and Wieland Payer
Hole Editions, Newcastle – George Shaw

Starting at 11am, guests will be led through the six houses, all within walking distance of each other, to view the works and meet the Gallerists who will introduce the exhibitions and discuss purchases.

Lunch will be provided to recharge the batteries and guests will be able to revisit particular homes of choice during the day.
