New artist | Sarah Pike

It was at The 2nd European Lithography Days 2012, Steindruck München Lithography Workshop, Münchner Künstlerhaus, Munich, Germany, 28 Aug - 3 Sept 2012, that we met Sarah Pike. Although it was becasue of The 7:th International Lithographic Symposium held in Tidaholm, Sweden from Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 9 2015, that Sarah came to the UK.

After travelling around Scotland she crossed the border and came to Newcastle, for the better part of a week, before heading off to Sweden. In her time here we collaborated on three editions. The first was a lithograph printed in five colours, from one stone and one positive working photo litho plate. The second and third were relief prints, printed from CNC routed Valcromat (thanks to RASKL for the quick turn around), each printed in two colours.

Simon Goode at the London Centre for Book Arts kindly put us in contact with Basil Head. Basil was able to supply the missing pieces for our Vandercook SP15 proofing press. Our assistant Paul Hughes cleaned up the two metal rollers in preparation of their arrival.

Waltzing Polly | Business Cards and Garment Tags

Here are some business cards and garment tags that we printed for Waltzing Polly. Pink was printed as dry roll flats on to 300 gsm white Somerset satin, which was then laminated, trimmed and letterpress printed on our 8 x 5 Adana. A final touch with corner rounding and a hole punched in the tags.
