BONE BLACK STUDIO & GALLERY @ CANOPY: PAPER JAM,
Austin, Texas. Lee Turner.
Paper Jam, the first juried exhibition at Bone Black
Studio and Gallery in the Canopy arts complex, opens Friday, March 13th, with a
reception from 6 to 8pm. The show features fifteen works on paper in a variety
of media. Nicholas Skowron, a professor in the Printmaking department at Kent
State University, chose pieces from the applicants whose work speaks to the
relation between the concepts of system and nostalgia. Participating artists
hail from all over the United States, including a few from Texas, to as far
away as Newcastle, England. The exhibition, cosponsored by the Women
Printmakers of Austin and Flash Collective, will be on display until April
17th.
